COVID-19 VIRUS

The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for the Filipinos. The long wait is finally over for all of us because every local government unit or LGU envisioned to give the dose to all of us. However, we have questions in mind about the vaccine. Is it really safe to all of us? How can we be sure of its effectiveness? What do we need to know about the vaccine? Yes, although the availability of the said vaccine is in the LGUs, are we all ready to take the shot then?  The readiness would rely on how we are being informed about the vaccine because we really need to gather facts about it before we are going to be vaccinated. Information-dissemination about the different brands of the vaccines should likewise be known by us specially if we have an existing illness and the brand that will be injected to us might have adverse side effects.  The brands of COVID-19 vaccine available in LGUs are AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Pfizer and Moderna. Priority lists had been prepared by the health authorities

Vigan City Fiesta Celebration amidst the COVD 19 Pandemic

The celebration of the Vigan City Fiesta for the 2020 is not the usual way as it was before. This is because of the pandemic being experience by us. It is only this year that usual activities being undertaken by the City Government could not be possibly done due to the COVID 19 that stroke the whole world. It is somehow lonely this year because no crowd people is being seen or roaming around the city. Limited and selected events were undertaken just to commemorate or celebrate of the feast day of the city. This is due to the travel restrictions being implemented by the IATF and local government of Ilocos Sur. The “carnaval” and  “bargain” sections that we enjoy during day and night time before the 25th day of January were not anymore allowed. However, a simple activity was undertaken by the Vigan City government just to celebrate the feast day of the place.  Although it was a simple way of celebrating it, what is important is  the unity, public service and care that are being obser
