Towards A More Resilient Philippines

The declaration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on March 15, 2020 in our country due to  COVID-19 pandemic had greatly affected our economy.  Some economists stated that we will be at our economic downfall that will have a negative impact on the business stability. To us Filipinos, the challenge now is on how are we going to cope up this health crisis that affected the lives of most of us. How do our leaders strategize so that we will be able to survive this crisis so that Philippines will still become a more resilient country?

With the pandemic, majority of  Filipinos are greatly affected such that some business establishments resorted to closure and in effect many workers were laid off that greatly affected their living. Thus, the economic stability of our country had also affected. Also, the regular classes of students were interrupted and that DepEd resorted to blended learning rather the face-to-face mode of learning. Ofcourse the students, teachers and parents experience adjustments.  With these effects of the pandemic, our government strategized through formulation and implementation of programs and projects to extend support to Filipinos in order to uplift their living. As of now, there were different government agencies who are implementing programs, projects and financial assistance helping most of the Filipinos to cope up from poverty and to at least rise up again and stabilize the economic crisis brought by the pandemic.

With these strategies of our government and with the full support and cooperation of Filipinos, we can survive this health and economic crisis. Thus, the challenge lies on us because the more support and cooperation we extend to our government, the better chance for us to rise up towards a more resilient and strong country.
