Quality education during COVID-19 pandemic

In this challenging times, are the school learners both pupils and students still achieve quality education? Yes, we are in what we call “The New Normal” in which the modalities of schooling of learners have diverted to on-line, modular and blended methods of learning. However, the big challenge and question is - Are these modalities of learning will equally and effectively substantiate the traditional way of  learning or what we call the face-to-face method?
The COVID 19 pandemic which had stricken the whole world has a very stern effect on the education of learners. In fact, the Department of Education authorities had experienced hard times to formulate solutions on this problem because classes within the year has suddenly shutdown and the next school calendar year had affected. Finally, they recommended to implement the on-line schooling, modular and blended modalities of learning in which students are not anymore required to  be physically present in school but rather they do their studies at home.  At present, public schools are on their fourth week of the said modalities of learning. Ofcourse, there were numerous comments that were laid down particularly the adjustments being experienced by the parents, learners and teachers. Despite the problems being encountered, they do comply with the new method of learning hoping that the continuity of education will not be disrupted and in these ways the learners will continue to learn and explore despite the pandemic. Now,  the question and challenge to all of us if  the school learners still achieve quality considering the new learning modalities being implemented and will these equally and effectively substantiate the traditional way of learning is absolutely still a big question because majority still preferred the face-to-face interactions.
As a generalization, the COVID 19 pandemic had greatly affected the achievement of quality education. Thus, the challenge of adopting the new modalities of learning despite numerous problems and obstacles being encountered lies with the support and cooperation among the learners, teachers and parents.

  1. I don't think we already achieve the quality of education that we are expected. Some of the students are struggling to understand the lesson given. But we can achieve it if we strive more and harder. I know these times are challenging but we must work harder for ourselves, for our future and dreams.
